Challenge
Founded over 200 years ago, Remington is America's oldest factory that still makes its original product. They were consolidating seven plants into one location as a Center of Excellence for product distribution and repairs. As part of this effort, they were implementing a new SAP system that included many modules. The program was complex, risky, and behind schedule.
Solution
Remington hired OPM Experts LLC to re-plan the program, establish a new program governance structure, and manage the program to its successful conclusion.
Results
We managed the program to a successful conclusion. Remington consolidated all plants successfully, concurrently deploying a vastly more capable SAP platform that included the SAP Material Management module, SAP Production Planning module, SAP Sales and Distribution module, SAP Inventory Management module, and SAP Warehouse Management module to enable growth across its many brands, i.e. including Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster Firearms, DPMS, Panther Arms, H&R, Barnes Bullets, Advanced Armament Corp, Mountain Khakis, Dakota Arms, Parker Gun, Para USA, and SMK.
